Best 360 flips ever
The 360 flip was invented by Rodney Mullen and popularized by Jason Lee (yes - the actor). The first time I saw one was in a Transworld sequence in 1988 or early 1989. The article was about flatground street skating and showed Jason Lee "zinging" a 360 kickflip. At the time, boards had large tails and NO nose. This made for a kind of floppy rotation. Regardless - Jason Lee was able to complete the 360 flip in the air and start catching it with the front foot. While many vert pros tried to learn both 360 flips and Impossibles in the ensuing months, the shift from vert to street as the dominate form of skating left a lot of skaters without jobs. Basically - you could gauge who would make the transition by how or even IF they could master the 3flip.
