Best 360 flips ever

The 360 flip was invented by Rodney Mullen and popularized by Jason Lee (yes - the actor). The first time I saw one was in a Transworld sequence in 1988 or early 1989. The article was about flatground street skating and showed Jason Lee "zinging" a 360 kickflip. At the time, boards had large tails and NO nose. This made for a kind of floppy rotation. Regardless - Jason Lee was able to complete the 360 flip in the air and start catching it with the front foot. While many vert pros tried to learn both 360 flips and Impossibles in the ensuing months, the shift from vert to street as the dominate form of skating left a lot of skaters without jobs. Basically - you could gauge who would make the transition by how or even IF they could master the 3flip.

Jason Lee brought Rodney Mullen's invention to the masses way back in 1988. Watch now as an "old man" snaps back into perfect form. Skateboarding is the fountain of youth.

Daewon has his own brand of skateboarding. Still light years ahead. 100% precision. Flatground 360 flip is the first trick in this clip but you should really watch the whole part. Transworld's i.e. video.

      Picture perfect.

Kelly's 3 flips are the text book version. Perfected. These have the height and precision needed for any variation. The Berrics agrees.

Listen and learn. 3 sounds. Pop. Catch. Land. Three distinct sounds - count em.

I know you are probably wondering why I put Kris on this. And you are an idiot. Kris Markovich left his mark on this trick way back in 1995 while a lot of dudes were still putting around with little pop. Kris upped the ante and prevented anyone from filming a 3flip off a curb cut for a good 10 years. How big is it? Its the ender thats how big.

Pat Duffy put is own spin on the trick. Famous for handrails and gaps - Pat is actually a 3flip master. I doubt kids think of him this way but if you ever saw him skate - you would have his 3flip imprinted in your brain. Much like Brian Anderson.

One of the best intros ever. Brian 3flips at about 1:11 and almost leaves the frame completely. I met Brian at a parking lot demo in 1997. He used one 3flip to clear the entire parking lot of kids so they could do the demo. And some fireworks.
